My research group focuses on human aging. What are the neuronal mechanisms that underlie human healthy and pathological aging? Which micro-structural circuits change, and how does this change our behavior? How can we prevent pathological aging, and what do we mean with “embodied aging”? These and other fascinating research questions are investigated using 7 Tesla MRI, computational modeling, and psychophysics.
